About ELSA Hungary

The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) is an international, non-political, not for profit organisation of law students and young lawyers. ELSA was founded by Austrian, German, Polish and Hungarian law students in 1981. Today ELSA is active in more than 36 European countries, representing more than 25.000 students of 180 universities. ELSA is the world’s largest law students association.

The vision of ELSA:

“A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity.”

ELSA Hungary is the association of the Hungarian ELSA groups. In Hungary ELSA Budapest, ELSA Debrecen, ELSA Pécs and ELSA Szeged are active. All of the local groups are individual, legal personalities. The local groups are active on seven law faculties of Hungary, out of the nine.
